This bug is seen on this forum too. Go on this thread, then navigate to the page number 2 using the numbers in the bottom of the thread. It takes you to another thread ! That's exactly what's happening in my 4.6.0 version installed in a 5.4.4 version of Dnn.

The posts paging issues you discussed was fixed in the 4.8 or 4.9 build (I can't remember which one at this point). Since 4.8, the way posts are paged changed drastically and it is much simpler to calculate now.
